KERSTIN PRICKEN · CULINARY ARTIST
Artistry Director of Gastronomy · Experiential Design
Kerstin Pricken is a culinary artist and founder of VECETO, a global multidisciplinary studio moving at the intersection of art, architectural design, and ephemeral gastronomy. Established in 2024. Based in New Zealand, working globally.
Raised in Germany, her practice was shaped by a lifelong instinct for the convergence of mediums. Sculpture, space, and gastronomy read as a single language. Stone and its raw mineral weight. The moment a material reveals its inner architecture.
Shaped by a background in Nordic interior design and sensory therapy, Kerstin Pricken approaches experiential design and contemporary eating design through a poetic lens.
Food is treated as a sculptural medium with structural integrity, occupying three-dimensional space for a brief, transient moment.
Guided by the principle of Radical Elegance, each commission by Kerstin Pricken as a culinary artist is conceived as a site-specific installation art that does not replace a space but fulfils it. Depending on the context, this process of Sensory Excavation manifests entirely differently, translating immersive layers into high-end physical realities through edible scenography and tactile materiality. Moving through custom-designed objects that cradle the food, interactive performances, and unexpected material interventions, every element becomes both object and offering. An experience to be touched and eaten.
When the last element is consumed, the work is complete. What remains is a lasting, warm sensory memory.
Commissions are developed on a selective basis for fashion houses, cultural institutions, and private collectors, connecting the work of Kerstin Pricken as a global culinary artist.
